I always wanted to have tattoo's. I became really interested when I was already 8 years old.
Tattoos make it possible to modify yourself according to your own taste and it kind of works as a shield as well.
Not that I wasn't happy with myself, but i feel way more confident with my tattoos.
I met Kunta when he walked into the barbershop where I work, we had a Tattoo space as well and he needed a new job.
At first I was a bit skeptical because he was a rookie, but when I saw his work I was sold. Even though it wasn't quite my style, he showed me what he could do and I was amazed about his skills on stuff that he wasn't specialized in.
Besides all that, he's cool, nice, creative, open for suggestions, not cocky at all and a real gentleman.
Kunta tattooed me multiple times and all of the tattoos are quite meaningful to me.
I'm not the easiest canvas... My skin gets irritated quite easily and I'm extremely sensitive for pain. But he has a lot of patience (like A LOT).
The best memory is when he was tattooing me on my side and I couldn't stop laughing about a joke. I couldn't sit still for 45 minutes straight! But even then he kept his patience and finished the piece that means the world to me.
